About The Position

The User Experience Design Intern will join Core UI Design in SAS’s R&D Division. Core UI Design defines foundational product design building blocks—including components, patterns, and standards—to help SAS product teams deliver consistent, accessible enterprise user experiences. The team partners with Core UI Development Teams to translate designs into high-quality, production-ready UI elements. The intern will work with product management and product and development teams to address business problems through design, explore data-informed visualizations, investigate AI-enabled design challenges, and contribute to or use the Filament Design System. The role includes creating and testing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interface specifications; conducting user research; analyzing and presenting findings; and collaborating with accessibility experts to support inclusive, usable experiences. This is a 12-week hybrid internship based at SAS’s Cary, North Carolina headquarters, with at least three days per week in the office.
