Spektrix•Remote, VA
•$75,000 - $95,000•Remote

About The Position

Spektrix is hiring a User Events Program Manager to plan and deliver small-group, in-person activation events for client power users across the US, Canada, the UK, and Ireland. The role manages events from planning through follow-up, including venue selection, vendor and catering arrangements, event communications, agenda coordination, rehearsals, and post-event reporting. It coordinates contributions from Delivery Teams, Client Success Management, Strategy & Operations, and content creators so events run consistently and require minimal operational effort from client-facing teams. Success is measured by well-run events that encourage hands-on engagement, product adoption, and activation of key features for attending clients. The position is full-time and exempt, reports to the VP, User Enablement & Education, and is based remotely in the US in the Eastern or Central time zone with a willingness to work EST hours, or in New York, NY on a hybrid basis. Non-local team members are expected to attend key on-site events at the New York office 2–4 times per year; dates are scheduled in advance and travel expenses are covered. New York-based team members are expected to work in the office 10–20% of the time. Domestic and international travel is required. Remote team members work from home most of the time, and all team members work from home at least some of the time. Employees working from home need a quiet space for uninterrupted video calls and a strong, reliable internet connection. The company provides reasonable support and the hardware needed to get started. New York-based employees receive a stipend for each day worked on-site.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience planning and delivering in-person events, including logistics, suppliers, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up.
  • Experience shaping learning or user enablement experiences and assessing agendas, session flow, presenter readiness, and attendee experience.
  • Strong project or program management skills, including managing concurrent events, tracking dependencies, and coordinating many contributors across teams.
  • Ability to influence colleagues and managers without direct reporting authority, agree on realistic commitments, and hold contributors accountable while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Experience selecting venues, coordinating catering and travel, managing vendor relationships, and monitoring costs against an agreed budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing promotional and instructional copy and leading productive planning meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with follow-through and the ability to anticipate issues, solve problems, and adapt plans.
  • Ability to use attendance data, user feedback, and outcome measures to identify improvements and explain event or program effectiveness.
  • Technical aptitude and confidence using project management tools, spreadsheets, communication platforms, and other web-based applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Sound judgment in balancing quality, cost, workload, and deadlines, including knowing when to decide and when to escalate.
  • Collaborative approach, openness to feedback, and willingness to take responsibility for mistakes and resolve them.
  • Ability and willingness to work with colleagues across time zones and travel periodically within the US and internationally to support selected events.
  • For remote work, have a quiet home workspace suitable for uninterrupted video calls and a strong, reliable internet connection.
