About The Position

Jerry Seiner GMC North Salt Lake is looking for an experienced Used Vehicle Technician to join their growing service team. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and reconditioning pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet high standards before reaching customers. The position offers a fast-paced environment where each vehicle presents unique challenges, making the work both challenging and rewarding.

Requirements

Previous automotive technician experience required.
Own professional automotive tools.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.

Nice To Haves

GM experience is preferred but not required.
ASE Certifications are a plus.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity goals.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive inspections on incoming used vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and drivability concerns.
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance and reconditioning services.
Document inspections and repair recommendations accurately.
Work closely with Service Advisors and Used Vehicle Management to prioritize vehicle readiness.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards.
