As an Automotive Technician at Theodore Robbins Ford, you will play a key role in inspecting and reconditioning pre-owned inventory to ensure every vehicle is safe, reliable, and retail-ready.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hands-on automotive repair experience
Solid understanding of automotive diagnostics, suspension systems, and brake repair
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment
Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic
Valid driver's license required
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

Recondition pre-owned vehicles for front-line sales
Receive and complete repair orders from the dispatcher efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership standards
Diagnose malfunctions and perform the appropriate repairs
Coordinate with the parts department to source required components
Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs
Communicate promptly with service advisors regarding scope changes or timeline concerns
Document all work performed thoroughly and accurately
Road-test vehicles as needed to verify repair quality
Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly manage all dealership-owned tools
