Used Vehicle Manager
About The Position
The Used Vehicle Manager is responsible for the appraisal, purchase, reconditioning, display and merchandising of the used vehicle inventory. This role involves building and training a sales team, ensuring they have thorough knowledge of processes and manufacturer products. The manager will conduct daily lot walks with the sales team to maintain awareness of vehicle pricing, inventory condition, advertising, and lot presentation. Key responsibilities include achieving sales goals, engaging with customers throughout the sales process, determining vehicle purchase terms and trade values, securing customer financing through lender relationships, competitively valuing used vehicle inventory, and ensuring proper reconditioning of used vehicles. Requirements
- Proven track record with exceptional CSI.
- Previous auto sales management experience.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 18 years or older.
- Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace.
Responsibilities
- Appraise, purchase, recondition, display, and merchandise used vehicle inventory.
- Build and train the sales team on processes and manufacturer product knowledge.
- Conduct daily lot walks with the sales team to ensure knowledge of vehicle prices, inventory condition, advertising, and lot presentation.
- Ensure sales goals are attained.
- Meet and greet customers early in the sales process and remain involved throughout.
- Determine vehicle purchase terms and trade values for customers.
- Secure financing for customers by utilizing professional relationships with lenders.
- Value used vehicle inventory competitively.
- Ensure used vehicles are properly reconditioned.
