About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking a qualified Used Truck Salesperson for our Pacific, WA location. This role serves as the initial point of contact for customers interested in used trucks, responsible for understanding their equipment needs and presenting our inventory. The ideal candidate will have a proven history in heavy-duty truck sales, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer-centric approach. Responsibilities include prospecting, needs assessment, negotiation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. GTC, established in 1986, is a network of 19 dealerships offering comprehensive services including sales, financing, insurance, and servicing for commercial trucks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and insurable.
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience.
  • CDL License desired.
  • Awareness of all regulations pertaining to the trucking industry.
  • Verbal and written Communication skills.
  • General PC skills.
  • Conflict Resolution skills.
  • Must be energetic, professional and safety minded at all times.
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written.
  • Listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of tractor sales experience desired.
  • Bilingual candidate strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and initiate dialogue with prospective customers.
  • Promoting and selling of heavy duty and medium duty used trucks.
  • Maintain and prepare accurate documentation in reports, quoting and communication related to sales.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to close.
  • Make recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Answer questions regarding the equipment.
  • Follow up with customers regarding status of sale, documents, repairs, parts on order, etc.
  • Applied knowledge of all phases of services performed with a dealership.
  • Ability to demonstrate use of equipment.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of product lines.
  • Promote other businesses of the organization (parts, service and body shop).
  • Coordinate with the Finance Manager, Sales Manager and service department on your customer’s behalf.
  • Communicate directly and effectively with co-workers, peers and shop management. Problem solve as a team.
  • Develop and grow position.
  • Other duties assigned as business requires.
