About The Position

Keith Hawthorne Ford is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join its growing team in Belmont, North Carolina. The role involves completing assigned repair orders, diagnosing required repairs, and maintaining and repairing vehicle systems. The technician will use diagnostic tools and special service equipment, communicate additional service needs and estimated repair times to the Service Advisor, and perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
ASE Certification required.
Ford Certification.
Dexterity, including a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of Service Technician experience.
Previous experience at a Ford dealership.
B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership requirements.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide an estimated time for additional repairs.
Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
