About The Position

Kia of Frisco is seeking an experienced Internal/Used Car Technician for its Service Team. This onsite dealership role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning pre-owned vehicles so they are safe, reliable, and ready for sale. The technician reports to the Shop Foreman and works with a variety of domestic, import, and pre-owned vehicles, with limited customer-facing interaction. The position offers access to Kia training and technician development, opportunities to build and maintain ASE certifications, and potential career growth into the Main Shop, Kia Certified Technician, or Shop Foreman roles. Technicians work with modern tools, equipment, and diagnostic resources in a supportive, team-focused shop environment.

Requirements

At least 3 years of automotive technician experience.
Experience working on multiple makes and models.
Dealership or independent repair experience.
ASE certifications.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs.
Ability to manage multiple repair and reconditioning jobs.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Inspect and recondition used vehicle inventory.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, brake, suspension, steering, and HVAC concerns.
Complete maintenance and repairs required to prepare vehicles for frontline readiness.
Identify and document recommended repairs.
Perform quality and safety inspections.
Meet internal production and turnaround expectations.
Use scan tools and electronic service information.
Work with the Service, Parts, and Used Car teams to keep vehicles moving.
Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
