About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Used Car Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing specified work on repair orders efficiently, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various vehicle systems. You will also communicate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about their vehicle's status and any additional service needs.

Requirements

2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed
Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
