About The Position

Toyota of Clarksville is seeking an experienced, high-energy Used Car Sales Manager to lead their high-volume pre-owned sales department. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive sales management experience, with a strong preference for used vehicle management.
  • Proven history of achieving sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Experience with desking deals, appraising trade-ins, and managing used vehicle inventory.
  • Proficiency with dealership CRM and inventory management systems such as VinSolutions, DealerSocket, vAuto, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to consistently exceed monthly sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Desk deals, structure transactions, and assist sales consultants in closing deals while maximizing profitability and customer value.
  • Monitor daily sales performance, appointments, closing ratios, and follow-up activities to ensure team accountability.
  • Partner with the Used Inventory Manager to maintain the right inventory mix, competitive pricing, and inventory turn.
  • Analyze market trends, inventory aging, and sales data to make strategic decisions that improve performance.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop sales professionals through ongoing coaching and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, lender requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Finance & Insurance department to maximize finance penetration, product sales, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee merchandising standards, online inventory presentation, and showroom readiness to ensure every vehicle is presented professionally.
  • Build and maintain a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while protecting the dealership's reputation.
