Used Car Reconditioning Manager
About The Position
Automotive Avenues is seeking a full-time Used Car Reconditioning Manager to lead their high-volume recon operation. This fast-moving, hands-on leadership role involves coordinating the reconditioning process for pre-owned vehicles, ensuring they are retail-ready at a quick pace. The manager will dispatch cars for detailing, assess and coordinate cosmetic improvements, and ensure vehicles are prepped and ready for sale. This role requires communication with outside vendors for warranty repairs and making decisions on cosmetic fixes to maintain a smooth workflow. It is an outdoor, hands-on position within a busy, high-volume environment.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 3+ years of experience within the automotive industry
- Go-getter attitude
- Personable and able to collaborate with lot staff
Nice To Haves
- Being familiar with automotive reconditioning is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Coordinating a steady flow of pre-owned vehicles through the reconditioning process.
- Dispatching cars for detail.
- Determining cosmetic improvements needed (paint touch-ups, rim repairs, bodywork, etc.).
- Ensuring vehicles are pictured and prepped for sale.
- Communicating with outside vendors for warranty repairs.
- Making quick and smart decisions on cosmetic fixes.
- Keeping vehicles moving smoothly through the pipeline.
