About The Position

Horne Mazda Tempe is hiring technicians for its new Used Car Reconditioning Department in Tempe, Arizona. The openings include Used Car Reconditioning Technicians and Used Car Diagnostic Reconditioning Technicians. Depending on the position, technicians perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspections, and reconditioning work on pre-owned vehicles. The role is full-time and in person, with pay of $25 per hour, a training bonus, a lead technician bonus, and opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Requirements

• Be dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and motivated to complete work correctly.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on pre-owned vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform diagnostic testing and identify needed repairs.
• Inspect used vehicles and complete necessary reconditioning work.
• Ensure vehicles meet dealership quality and safety standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals and turnaround times.
• Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle status with the recon team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
