About The Position

Performance Chevrolet, part of the Timbrook Automotive Group, is looking for an experienced Used Car Manager to take full ownership of our pre-owned operation. If you know how to buy right, manage inventory, turn cars quickly and lead a sales team to strong volume and gross profit, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Used Car Manager, Used Car Buyer, or Sales/Desk Manager with used vehicle responsibility
• Strong appraisal and vehicle acquisition skills
• Experience with market-based pricing and inventory management tools
• Ability to balance volume, gross profit and inventory turn
• A clear understanding of reconditioning and the importance of getting vehicles frontline-ready quickly
• Ability to lead, coach and hold a team accountable
• Competitive, organized and results-driven
• Respect and professionalism with customers and employees
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Appraise trades accurately and competitively
• Acquire inventory through trades, auctions and other buying channels
• Maintain the right inventory mix for our market
• Monitor aging and aggressively manage inventory turn
• Price vehicles to market regularly while maximizing gross profit
• Manage reconditioning and speed-to-market
• Ensure every vehicle is properly merchandised online
• Work with the sales team to drive used vehicle volume and profitability
• Monitor wholesale activity and minimize unnecessary losses
• Track key metrics including volume, gross, aging and turn
• Build and execute strategies to grow the pre-owned department
• Provide back-up support for the Finance Manager
• Report directly to the General Manager
