About The Position

Jaguar Land Rover Newport is seeking a Used Car Buyer to execute a process involving prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale. This role is crucial for our growing business, which is built on doing things the right way, from guest treatment to employee growth opportunities.

Requirements

At least 2-3 years in a Used Car Buyer role in a dealership setting, or vehicle procurement in the automotive rental industry.
High level of customer service and excellent communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Professional personal appearance.
Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
Outstanding Computer skills required.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
