About The Position
Coughlin Pataskala Chevrolet is seeking experienced Used Car Service Technicians due to high volume in their used car reconditioning operation. This position offers a competitive wage based on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The role involves performing specified work on repair orders efficiently, test-driving vehicles, diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, communicating with Service Advisors about additional service needs, and executing warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician: independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily
- High school graduate/GED
- Satisfactory employment references
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
