About The Position

Coughlin Circleville GM has an immediate need for experienced Used Car Service Technicians due to high volume. This position is crucial for our growing used car reconditioning operation. We offer a competitive wage based on experience, with a compensation program designed to maximize earning potential. The role involves performing specified work on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards, test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools. Technicians will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. Communication with the Service Advisor is key to inform customers about additional service needs and provide repair estimates. The role also includes executing warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

Current/recent experience as a Used Car Technician: independent shop, tire store, or dealership experience preferred
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily
High school graduate/GED
Satisfactory employment references

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications a plus

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
