As a Senior Associate in our US State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, you’ll work alongside and learn from experienced subject matter experts through on-the-job coaching and mentoring. You will focus on delivering consulting and advisory services to clients on various US state and local tax matters including tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses optimize their tax positions and navigate complex business issues through strategy to execution. Support state tax advisory engagements such as nexus analyses, voluntary disclosures, sales tax analysis across a variety of industries, with a focus on practical, well-supported recommendations. Support US SALT due diligence on potential acquisitions and transaction-related projects such as restructuring. Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, leverage personal strengths and address development areas. Proactively manage day-to-day workstreams for multiple engagements, communicating status, risks, and next steps to Managers and above. Build and maintain effective working relationships with client stakeholders through responsive communication, professionalism, and attention to detail. Coach and review the work of junior team members, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team environment. Stay current on state and local tax developments and proactively share relevant insights with the team. Participate in business development efforts by helping identify opportunities for new/existing clients and supporting proposals. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
