About The Position

The Payroll Specialist III is a senior individual contributor responsible for the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of U.S. multi-state payroll for approximately 3,000 employees using ADP GlobalView with SAP Success Factors. This position operates within IGT’s broader global payroll environment, which supports approximately 5,600 employees across more than 30 countries. The Payroll Specialist III oversees payroll activities performed by third-party managed-service providers, including gross-to-net calculations, employee payments, tax services, and garnishments. This position also serves as a key administrator for the ADP Workforce Manager Time solution. This role handles complex payroll matters, performs detailed research and analysis, and works closely with People and Culture, Finance, employees, managers, and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain a high standard of payroll service.

Requirements

  • Direct, hands-on experience with ADP GlobalView with SAP Success Factors and ADP Workforce Manager Time is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. multi-state payroll processing and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Canada and/or LATAM payroll experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of payroll tax filings, tax payments, garnishments, leaves, and time-off regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to audit payroll data, identify discrepancies, and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers or managed-service partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research historical data and determine appropriate corrections.
  • Excellent customer-service skills, with the ability to resolve payroll issues promptly and professionally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global, cross-functional matrix organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least five years of relevant payroll-processing experience, including demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory environment governing payroll, leaves, and time off.
  • Experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll in a complex organization.
  • Experience resolving complex payroll, tax, timekeeping, and system-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Process U.S. multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for approximately 3,000 employees using ADP GlobalView with SAP Success Factors.
  • Support IGT’s global payroll organization, which serves approximately 5,600 employees across more than 30 countries.
  • Review payroll inputs, employee data, time records, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and adjustments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee payroll activities performed by third-party managed-service providers, including gross-to-net calculations, employee payments, payroll tax services, and garnishment administration.
  • Serve as a key administrator for ADP Workforce Manager Time, including timecard support, configuration assistance, troubleshooting, and data validation.
  • Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and validation activities before and after payroll processing.
  • Research and resolve complex payroll issues, including historical data discrepancies, calculation errors, tax corrections, and employee payment concerns.
  • Complete complex payroll projects, including calculation updates, special reports, tax amendments, company setup, system troubleshooting, and payroll corrections.
  • Review payroll tax filings and payments and work with internal teams and external providers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll reports and analyses for People and Culture, Finance, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally.
  • Partner with payroll vendors, management, colleagues, and the broader People and Culture organization to ensure effective payroll delivery.
  • Maintain payroll documentation, procedures, control records, and audit support materials.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements, wage-and-hour regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, accuracy, and service delivery.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive employee and payroll information.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
