About The Position

Aon Service Corporation seeks a US IT Professional – Applications in Chicago, Illinois to conduct web development. Design, develop, code, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Java SDK 7 and 8. Build and support RESTful API Web services. Design, build, and maintain web sites and API integrations. Deploy web application codes and files to servers. Build web frameworks using JavaScript, React, AJAX, jQuery, and AngularJS. Collaborate with IT teams on the integration of web applications with other business applications. Ensure technology infrastructure stability and hygiene and own production assurance. Ensure correct code delivery through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best software engineering practices. Architect scalable solutions based on understanding of the business and products. Apply experience with database technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database schema design. Manage multiple development initiatives simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with project goals. Partner with business stakeholders, clients, and vendors to align technology solutions with organizational objectives. Support and lead upgrade initiatives including platform migration and server upgrades. Implement and integrate new technologies and solutions to improve user experience for software and web applications. Resolve web related issues and engage respective teams for resolutions. Remediate application vulnerabilities identified by the security team as part of the frequent scans and vulnerability tests. Telecommuting from anywhere in the United States available 5 days a week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• Five years of progressive web development experience.
• At least five years of experience in designing, developing, coding, and maintaining scalable Java-based applications using Java SDK 7 and 8.
• At least five years of experience in building and supporting RESTful API Web services.
• At least five years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining web sites and API integrations.
• At least five years of experience in building web frameworks using JavaScript, React, AJAX, jQuery, and AngularJS.
• At least five years of experience in architecting scalable solutions based on understanding of the business and products.
• At least five years of experience in applying experience with database technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database schema design.
• At least five years of experience in resolving web related issues and remediating application vulnerabilities.
