About The Position
CentraCare is seeking a versatile and dedicated Urology Technician/Nursing Assistant to support urologists and provide essential nursing care to patients. The role requires proficiency in nursing care practices and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. The Urology Tech works under the direction of an RN and performs procedures related to orthopedic and urological care. The position requires flexibility to work in patient care areas throughout the hospital. This is a part-time position for 36 hours every two weeks, with 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The schedule includes every third weekend and every third holiday.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training course or completion of three months of a healthcare program; alternatively, a minimum of three months of direct patient care experience may be accepted in lieu of the required education.
- At least three months of experience as a nursing assistant, student nurse, medic, EMT, or in a similar role.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider card, as required by established policy.
- NCI certification.
