About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Group seeks a Urologist in Bakersfield, CA to join their thriving multispecialty group. This is an opportunity to build a practice within a collaborative environment, integrated into one of California's largest hospital systems. The role involves managing a comprehensive "bread and butter" Urology practice, collaborating with an experienced Urologist and colleagues through a shared 1:7 hospital call schedule. The practice emphasizes high-quality care, with access to advanced resources like the da Vinci robotic surgical system. The Urologist will work with a dedicated medical assistant team, precept medical students, and contribute to a collegial environment. The ideal candidate is a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Urologist eager to practice where collaboration meets compassion. Support includes RN triage for after-hours and weekends, and a dedicated marketing representative. An exceptional compensation and benefits package is offered, including student loan assistance, a salary guarantee of $500,000 – $550,000 per year, a generous sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, health insurance, retirement plans, and a CME allowance.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
Active or eligible license in the state of California.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Manage a comprehensive "bread and butter" Urology practice.
Collaborate with an experienced Urologist and a network of skilled colleagues.
Participate in a shared 1:7 hospital call schedule.
Provide high-quality care over patient volume.
Utilize advanced resources, including the da Vinci robotic surgical system.
Work efficiently with a dedicated medical assistant (MA) team.
Contribute to a collegial, collaborative environment.
Precept medical students.
Provide RN triage during after-hours and weekends.
Build patient panel and connect with the community with the help of a marketing representative.
