About The Position
We are seeking a Urologic Surgical Oncologist for a Locum Tenens position in Tacoma, WA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with clinical duties and call coverage. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing. The average daily patient volume is 20, with 2-4 admissions and 5 phone consults. The department has 52 beds and utilizes the Epic EMR system. Support staff includes RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff. The physician will be required to supervise APPs.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC).
- Licensed in WA or IMLC.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Fellowship completion required.
- Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage including inpatient and outpatient services.
- Participate in call rotation (1:5, in-house, 30-minute response time, 75% callback).
- Manage bladder instillation therapy.
- Perform general and laparoscopic surgery.
- Round on patients.
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
