DVM - (UrgentVet, FT) Urgent Care Veterinarian
About The Position
UrgentVet provides after-hours veterinary care in the Greenwood, Indiana area, bridging daytime general practice and emergency or overnight care. The clinic treats canine and feline patients for common urgent needs, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting and diarrhea, and euthanasia. This is urgent care only, with no wellness appointments and no abdominal surgeries. The role works on swing/second shifts in a single-doctor clinic setting. UrgentVet clinics are paperless and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house lab equipment. The practice describes its approach as Fear Free and feline friendly, with a strong technical team and support. The schedule is flexible, and the hospitals are new and modern.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college, or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program.
- Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment, or ability to obtain a license in that state.
Responsibilities
- Serve patients and clients using a relationship-based approach.
- Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
- Grow relationships within the practice and the Indianapolis community.
- Encourage support staff growth through the internal LevelUp training program.
- Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.
