Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • A valid state license and in good standing to practice.
  • A collaborative spirit and a dedication to practicing the highest standard of medicine.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Experience in an urgent care environment.
  • Ability to practice high-level, evidence-based small animal medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on small-animal urgent care-focused medicine within an AAHA-accredited hospital.
  • Support a wide range of same-day, urgent, and acute care cases.
  • Handle triage and stabilization, diagnostics, wound management, pain management, and client communication during high-acuity visits.
  • Engage in a well-rounded and engaging caseload that includes comprehensive general practice services such as dentistry, advanced soft-tissue surgery, acupuncture, chiropractic care, cold laser therapy, and in-house diagnostics.
  • Participate in orthopedic procedures if interested or experienced.
  • Manage same-day case management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets, becoming a trusted partner in a pet's lifelong health.
  • Lead patient care from diagnosis to treatment with the freedom to uphold the highest standards.
  • Clearly communicate findings and treatment plans, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with a supportive paraprofessional team, contributing to a positive hospital culture.
