About The Position

Bedford Veterinary Medical Center and its partner hospital, Lowell Rd Veterinary Center, are state-of-the-art hospitals providing comprehensive care to dogs and cats in Southern New Hampshire. The veterinarian will support the hospitals’ urgent care hours and practice high-quality medicine with a positive, experienced support staff and a well-equipped facility featuring ultrasound, digital radiography, dental X-ray, and an in-house laboratory. The role is available full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling across the listed urgent care hours. The ideal candidate has emergency room or urgent care experience and is willing to work evenings.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
Active veterinary state license.
Willingness to work evenings for the ideal candidate.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in an emergency room or urgent care setting.
Current DEA license (preferred but not required).
USDA accreditation (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Provide veterinary care in support of the hospitals’ urgent care service.
Work an agreed combination of urgent care operating hours: Monday–Friday, 6 p.m.–10 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–9 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m.–8 p.m.
