About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Urgent Care Technician/EMT to join their Onalaska Urgent Care team. This role involves providing excellent quality care to patients of all ages. The department is dynamic, featuring 20 patient exam rooms, including procedure and consult rooms. Urgent Care Technicians/EMTs are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Onalaska Urgent Care sees an average of 100 to 150 patients daily, ranging from pediatric to geriatric. In cases requiring emergent care, staff will stabilize and transfer patients to the main hospital campus.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is desired

  • Stabilize and safely transfer patients requiring emergent care to Emergency Services at the main hospital campus.
