About The Position

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Supervisor to lead our dedicated Urgent Care team. This position works a schedule of Wednesday - Saturday 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of practical experience in a veterinary clinic.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Work well both independently and cooperatively as part of the team.
  • Must work collaboratively with clinic Leadership, Veterinarians, and Staff.
  • Ability to remain composed while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, deescalation skills, and ability to resolve conflict.
  • Proficiency with or able to learn/use Daysmart.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening to be compliant with DEA requirements for dispensing controlled drugs.

  • Graduation from technical school (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our veterinary clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care while leading and supporting a team of veterinary technicians.
  • Coordinate staff schedules.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback.
  • Train and mentor new team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Partner with veterinarians to ensure seamless communication with clients.
  • Manage escalated concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clinic documentation.
  • Play an active role in patient care by supporting technicians as needed.
  • Ensure clinic and surgical areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and DEA drug logs.
  • Maintain knowledge of current veterinary protocols and emergency procedures.
