WellStreet Urgent Care•Georgetown, SC

About The Position

Prisma Health Urgent Care is hiring a remote physician to provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, organizational policies and procedures, clinical standards, and operational needs. The physician will have a formal South Carolina Medical Board supervising or collaborating physician assignment and will fulfill the associated oversight, documentation, clinical review, delegation, and related responsibilities. This is a fully remote position, but the physician must physically reside in South Carolina. Prisma Health Urgent Care uses a team-based physician coverage model. Depending on operational needs, the physician may provide daily clinical consultation and support to APPs at assigned centers and, when needed, surrounding centers. Daily coverage responsibilities are separate from formal supervising or collaborating physician assignments and may not correspond directly to the APPs assigned under an individual agreement. The role also includes case review and support for newly hired, newly credentialed, or otherwise designated APPs during orientation or enhanced supervision periods, as well as participation in quality improvement and peer review. The physician must support APP practice within their authorized scope and applicable requirements for supervision, collaboration, delegation, and prescriptive authority.
