About The Position

As the Nurse Manager of the GVH Urgent Care Clinic, you'll be responsible for the supervision of patient care, nursing staff and clinic operations. You will be clinically oriented to work in the Urgent Care as a team member in order to provide assistance when unit needs exceed available resources. We are looking for a seasoned Leader who is comfortable supervising a skilled nursing team, budgeting and accounting, while ensuring quality assessment and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
  • Leadership experience within the last 2 years.
  • Training and experience in area of expertise is required.
  • Minimum: Current Colorado Registered Nurse License (or compact state RN license).
  • Newly hired employees that are required to have CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC.
  • Utilization of process improvement to identify and remove complex or recurring operational barriers.
  • Ability to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of a patient care delivery system that is patient and family centered.
  • Understands State Regulatory principles to ensure that standards of excellence are fostered and met.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and providing oversight of daily Clinic operations while supporting a safe and therapeutic work environment.
  • Hiring, directing, supporting and evaluating Clinic staff performance.
  • Implementing quality controls to impact the satisfaction of patients, staff and providers, and reviewing and revising policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with nursing and other leaders to provide orientees with sufficient training and education opportunities to develop and enhance skillsets.
  • Analyzing clinical practice and identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency in collaboration with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
