About The Position

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide urgent care services in various locations across Connecticut, including New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Windham, Tolland, Hartford, and Litchfield. This is a locum tenens position covering the period from October 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. The role involves 12-hour shifts and requires the ability to travel at least 45 minutes, potentially splitting days between two locations, and being amenable to last-minute changes. The case mix includes minor emergencies, injuries, and illnesses, with no phone consults required. Credentialing takes approximately 90 days.

Requirements

• Active CT license required
• Active DEA required
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS or PALS certifications
• Total years of experience and most recent experience required
• Ability to travel at least 45 minutes
• Ability to split day between two locations
• Amenable to last-minute changes

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
• Perform suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, splinting
• Interpret X-rays and EKGs
• Work independently and manage patient volume efficiently
• Travel between locations as needed
