About The Position

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a board-certified, experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Virtual Urgent Care team. The role provides high-quality, convenient, compassionate care to new and existing CHRISTUS patients and associates in a virtual setting, as part of a physician-led care team. The position uses a queue-based system and Epic EMR and also provides PRN in-person coverage at the employee clinic at the system office in Irving. The role is PRN with a minimum monthly expectation. Virtual Urgent Care operates 365 days a year from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., with various shifts available. The associated multispecialty network includes more than 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers across 41 specialties and 82 clinic locations throughout Northeast Texas.

Requirements

Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Active NP or PA license in Texas and Louisiana, or eligibility to obtain licensure in those states.
Must be located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat patients through telehealth, including triage, video visits, and follow-ups as appropriate.
Document and complete charting in Epic.
Work within a queue-based system, typically seeing 3–4 patients per hour.
Work autonomously and collaborate with virtual and in-office teammates through daily huddles and monthly team meetings.
Deliver care in alignment with CHRISTUS Health protocols and standards.
Provide PRN in-person coverage at the employee clinic in Irving.
Perform other duties as assigned.
