About The Position

Desert Valley Medical Group, affiliated with Desert Valley Hospital, is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join its growing, hospital-owned, multi-specialty medical group in Victorville, California. The position is per diem, with opportunities for up to 15 shifts per month. Shifts are 12 hours and the schedule is variable. The role is open to new graduates, and applicants with less than two years of relevant NP experience are eligible for the Transition-to-Practice Program. The position offers an estimated compensation range of $65–$80 per hour, based on experience. The exact starting compensation will depend on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Requirements

Current California Nurse Practitioner license.
Board certification as an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
Ability to effectively manage medically complex patients.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in pulmonary medicine, critical care, hospital medicine, or another inpatient specialty.
More than five years of high-acuity critical care nursing experience.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
