About The Position

The In-School Coordinator (ISC) supports the Upward Bound program by assisting core staff in providing comprehensive college preparatory services to students at their target school. The ISC organizes center meetings and checks in regularly with students during the academic year to provide academic guidance, monitor progress, and foster personal growth. The ISC keeps Upward Bound staff informed about students’ grades and other relevant information and works closely with the Upward Bound central office and core staff for ongoing support, planning, and communication.

Requirements

• Current employment at the target high school.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field; or equivalent experience working with high school students.
• Experience in academic advising, mentoring, or youth development programs.
• Familiarity with college preparatory programs and the challenges faced by first-generation college-bound students.

Responsibilities

• Organize Upward Bound center meetings.
