About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Upward Bound Project Director in the development, coordination, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all activities and services throughout the Academic and Summer Components.

Requirements

  • Assisting the Upward Bound Project Director in the development, coordination, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all activities and services throughout the Academic and Summer Components.
  • Implementation of a college preparatory curriculum (math, English, composition, science, and foreign language), test preparation, and tutorials.
  • Identification, recruitment and selection of project participants.
  • Development of all services and activities for the academic year and summer components.
  • Assessment of all participants and development of all Individual Service Plans and Academic Progress Plans.
  • Recruitment and supervision of all project tutors, instructors, and activity assistants.
  • Coordination and supervision of monthly Saturday Academic Sessions, after school tutorials, and Summer Component activities.
  • Maintenance of a caseload of Project Participants and provision of services and activities as indicated on their Individual Service Plans.
  • Monitoring participants’ academic progress.
  • Provision of individualized academic advising, career information, and college planning activities.
  • Coordination of data collection and submission of related reports.
  • Establishment and maintenance of participant data in hard copy and electronic files.
  • Maintenance and management of the project database.
  • Preparation of all project related reports submitted to agency and federal officials.
  • Acting as a liaison to target schools, local government and community agencies.
