About The Position

Colorado Academy seeks a full-time math teaching candidate to cover a leave of absence during the second half of the 2026-2027 school year. The position begins November 16, 2026 and ends at the end of the academic year, June 4, 2026. It includes two sections of Integrated Geometry (9th grade with a focus on Algebra and Geometry) and two sections of Algebra 2 Honors (10th grade), and an advisory. Additionally, there is a week of experiential education as part of CA’s Interim program during the last week of May that will require participation in and chaperone duties.

Requirements

  • Experience, training, and/or a demonstrated interest in teaching math in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level.
  • Interest in working on a team of math teachers.
  • Ability to implement an established curriculum.
  • Eagerness to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and openness to growth is the norm.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated intercultural competence, which is defined as the ability to understand and bridge diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Teach two sections of Integrated Geometry (9th grade with a focus on Algebra and Geometry).
  • Teach two sections of Algebra 2 Honors (10th grade).
  • Serve as an advisor.
  • Participate in and chaperone experiential education during CA’s Interim program.
  • Share in the day-to-day life of the school community.
  • Support the vision of the Upper School.
  • Carry out the CA Mission, "Creating Curious, Kind, Courageous, and Adventurous Learners and Leaders."
