About The Position

This is a leave replacement position for an 8th Grade Math Teacher at the North Ridgeville Academic Center for the 2026-2027 school year only. The teacher will be responsible for ensuring student safety, following district curriculum and state requirements, and diagnosing and addressing student learning needs.

Requirements

• College or university degree(s)
• Valid Ohio teaching certificate/license
• Math 4-9 or Integrated Math 7-12 licensure preferred
• Shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
• Shall be free of any substance, prescribed or otherwise, that impairs the employee's work performance or the safety of others while on duty.

Nice To Haves

• Math 4-9 or Integrated Math 7-12 licensure

Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety of students in accordance with Board of Education policy.
• Follows the prescribed district standardized test and C.B.E. Objectives, district curriculum and state requirements.
• Maintains records of student performance, and reports student progress to parents and/or legal guardians.
• Diagnoses the learning needs of all students on a regular basis and gears intervention to address their identified needs.
• Uses instructional techniques, available material, and media consistent with the needs and capabilities of the students involved.
