About The Position

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Universal Pre-K Teacher to lead a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. The teacher will use the company’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum® and classroom resources, working with a collaborative center team to focus on teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families. The position is in Kings Park, New York, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $25–$29 per hour. The role involves active supervision of young children and participation in classroom and outdoor activities, including standing, bending, sitting on the floor, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Requirements

NYS Certified Teacher.
Minimum bachelor’s degree.
Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom.
Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience consistent with New York requirements.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for helping young children learn and develop.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements.
Ability to stand, bend, sit on the floor, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Lead a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool classroom.
Bring TLE’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life through hands-on lessons and activities.
Support children’s social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported.
Observe children’s development and communicate progress with families.
Maintain classroom routines, learning materials, and required documentation.
Partner with fellow teachers and center leadership to create an exceptional family experience.
Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Actively supervise young children and participate in classroom and outdoor activities.
