About The Position

We are looking for fun, energetic, detail-oriented district teachers for our school. The UPK Teacher adapts teaching methods and materials to children’s interests and learning styles, manages classroom activities, supports children’s development, and maintains positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and staff. The role includes implementing the High Scope approach, participating in staff and training meetings, and continuing professional education. The scheduled shift is 8:00 am–4:00 pm. The annual salary range is $65,000–$75,000, based on education level and qualifications.

Requirements

P-3 Certificate required.
Experience implementing the High Scope approach.

Responsibilities

Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet children’s interests and learning styles.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
Manage classroom activities, including lessons, play, breaks, and meals.
Track children’s progress and report to parents.
Help children reach developmental milestones.
Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
Participate in staff and training meetings.
Commit to continuing education.
Implement the High Scope approach.
