About The Position

Little Lukes is seeking a Substitute Teacher Assistant to support young children in its center-based preschool and childcare programs in Central New York. The role involves helping provide enjoyable, meaningful activities in a caring, team-oriented environment for children, including children with special needs. Substitute hours vary from week to week and are arranged flexibly based on availability. Work is Monday through Friday, with possible shifts starting as early as 7:45 a.m. or ending around 1:15 p.m. Little Lukes offers opportunities for continuing education, advancement, professional growth, educational support, and individual mentoring. The organization operates six locations in Oswego, Fulton, East Syracuse, Baldwinsville, Pulaski, and Camillus.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Enjoy working with children.
High energy level and caring personality.
Teamwork mentality and caring attitude.

Nice To Haves

New York State Teacher Assistant (TA) certification is preferred but not required.
Experience with children with special needs and preschool-aged children is a plus.
Babysitting experience is helpful but not required.
Prior childcare, daycare, or preschool job experience is preferred.
