About The Position

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Unskilled Laborer to work with a Government client on a commercial building project from November 2026 to December 2027. The role supports jobsite productivity, with activities coordinated with the Carpenter Foreman, Project Manager, and/or Superintendent. Work includes manual labor, jobsite cleaning and maintenance, and stocking and moving materials. The position regularly uses brooms, wheelbarrows, and small hand tools, and includes other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Most work takes place at project sites. Conditions vary with the project's scope and phase and may include jobsite trailers, existing structures, structures under construction, newly constructed structures, and outdoor work in the elements. Personal protective equipment and appropriate attire must be worn as required by company safety policies and the work being performed.

Requirements

On-the-job training is required.
Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or schedule form.
Ability to clearly speak and understand English.
Ability to write with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to read safety rules, instructions for the use and maintenance of trucks, tools, and equipment, and methods and procedures.
Understand safety rules and tool and equipment instructions.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Must wear required personal protective equipment and appropriate attire.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma.
10-hour OSHA training.
CPR/First Aid training.
Reliability, motivation, a strong team orientation, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
