This role involves taking a lead position in supporting and expanding the firm's IT infrastructure, encompassing both in-house and cloud-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Responsibilities include managing filesystems, network infrastructure, remote connectivity, IT security, and document/email retention. The administrator will maintain and support Linux-based server systems and cloud infrastructure, set up and maintain various tools and services (Apache, Docker, SSH, Sudo, Gitolite, uWSGI), and support the firm's network infrastructure. Additionally, the role provides firm-wide infrastructure and end-user support for video conferencing, networking, remote access, VoIP, PC imaging, desktops, laptops, Macs, printers, and mobile devices. The position also requires identifying, evaluating, and testing new technologies, supporting the firm's business continuity plan, and maintaining/troubleshooting portfolio management report applications using Bash scripting and Python. The administrator will act as the primary technical liaison with administrators, prime brokers, and technology vendors, manage technology vendor relationships, and monitor/analyze technology expenditures.
