About The Position

This is an EXTERNAL VACANCY - OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC for the position of UNIVERSITY SECURITY OFFICER I, SR14, BU-03. There are MULTIPLE VACANCIES available at KAPIOLANI COMMUNITY COLLEGE in HONOLULU, OAHU. The salary is $4,054 MONTHLY. Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
• Possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.
• Possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• All applicants must obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property, and to detect and prevent attempts by persons to violate the law.
• Conducts investigations of violations.
• Prepares reports and takes appropriate action.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
