About The Position

This is an EXTERNAL VACANCY - OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC for University Security Officer I, SR-14 (SELECT CERT: DRIVER'S LICENSE), BU-03. There are multiple vacancies available at Leeward Community College, located in Pearl City, Waianae, Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawai'i. The salary is $4,054.00 Monthly. Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

• One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
• Possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.
• Possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.
• Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Applicants selected for hire will be required to complete and submit a Waiver of Liability and Release Form.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property.
• Detects and prevents attempts by persons to violate the law.
• Conducts investigations of violations.
• Prepares reports and takes appropriate action.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
