About The Position

This is an external vacancy open to the general public for multiple positions as a University Security Officer I. The role involves patrolling the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules, and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property. The officer will detect and prevent violations, conduct investigations, prepare reports, and take appropriate action. This position requires willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
  • Possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.
