Universal Service Representative, Teller Five Points
About The Position
The Universal Service Representative (USR) serves as a financial mentor to credit union members by listening to their needs, considering their best interests, and providing guidance on solutions to improve their financial lives. The role represents UICCU professionally and builds relationships with members. USRs build member loyalty, provide in-person and digital solutions for peers and members, maintain product knowledge to assist members with financial needs, and focus on compliance and security. This position is based at the Five Points Branch in Urbana, Illinois. The starting salary is $17.19 per hour, with performance-based incentives. The role may require providing assistance at other branch locations as needed, including participation in a Saturday rotation.
Requirements
- Up to six months of similar or related experience.
- High school education or GED.
- Cash handling experience.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Flexibility with schedule.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in personal contact with people inside and/or outside the organization.
Responsibilities
- Consistently provide outstanding service, focusing on member service and loyalty.
- Identify members’ needs and recommend appropriate credit union solutions to meet and exceed production goals and help achieve organizational goals.
- Balance the cash drawer and maintain inventory integrity.
- Follow credit union policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and attention to detail in member transactions.
- Take ownership of member problems, issues, and complaints and ensure appropriate follow-up to achieve the best resolution.
- Provide assistance at other branch locations as needed, including a Saturday rotation.
- Build member loyalty and provide in-person and digital solutions for peers and members.
- Maintain product knowledge to assist members with financial needs.
- Focus on compliance and security.
