About The Position

The Universal Service Representative (USR) is a financial mentor who listens to members’ needs, looks out for their best interests, and provides guidance on solutions to improve their financial lives. The USR represents UICCU professionally and builds relationships with members. The role focuses on building member loyalty, providing in-person and digital solutions for members and peers, maintaining product knowledge, and following compliance and security practices. The position is based at the Kays location in Normal, Illinois, and may require assistance at other branch locations, including a Saturday rotation.

Requirements

Up to six months of similar or related experience.
High school education or GED.
Cash-handling experience.
Proven customer service skills.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Schedule flexibility.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in personal interactions.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding service focused on member service and loyalty.
Identify members’ needs and recommend appropriate credit union solutions to meet or exceed production goals and support organizational goals.
Balance the cash drawer and maintain inventory integrity.
Follow credit union policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and attention to detail in member transactions.
Take ownership of member problems, issues, and complaints, and follow up to achieve the best resolution.
Remain flexible and assist at other branch locations as needed, including through a Saturday rotation.
Build and maintain product knowledge to assist members with financial needs.
Provide in-person and digital solutions for peers and members.
Focus on compliance and security.
