About The Position

The Universal Teller provides excellent customer service to current and potential members and represents Florida Credit Union in a positive, professional manner. The role assists members with questions about products and services, makes appropriate recommendations, and works with other departments to find solutions for members’ financial needs. Universal Tellers perform teller duties and some Member Service Representative duties as needed, following Credit Union policies and management-established goals and objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Cash checks and dispense money after verifying identification, signature, and account balance.
Respond to inquiries by telephone, online, mail, chat, and other electronic communications.
Balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer against the computer printout of daily transactions at the end of the shift.
Cross-sell Florida Credit Union products, including interest-bearing checking accounts and consumer and commercial loans.
Conduct loan interviews and obtain members’ credit histories and other pertinent information.
Process membership and checking applications, certificates, IRAs, payroll, and direct deposit.
Comply with OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
Assist current and potential members with inquiries about products and services, make appropriate recommendations, and work with other departments to address members’ financial needs.
Perform teller duties and some Member Service Representative duties as needed, in accordance with Credit Union policies and management-established goals and objectives.
