About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a part-time role (20 hours per week) focused on providing excellent client service and efficient transaction completion. This role involves identifying and understanding client financial needs, cross-training in sales and service activities, and assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The position requires adherence to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, while staying informed of policy changes. The Universal Banker will also serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions to enhance their banking experience.
  • Support the team's sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying needs or opportunities.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings, training, and web-based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, ensuring compliance with current guidelines.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
