About The Position

While this position will initially report to one of the specified branches, it may require relocation depending on evolving organizational needs. The Universal Banker engages with customers to establish rapport, assists the team in achieving branch goals, and provides excellent customer service. This role requires flexibility to accommodate branch staffing needs, the ability to work independently and manage time effectively, and adherence to policies and procedures with accuracy. The Universal Banker also contributes to branch meetings and culture.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of two years bank customer contact or retail sales experience preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage clients effectively.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings, as per business needs.
  • Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.
  • Willing and able to work required overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Promote products and services based on customer's needs, understanding their financial goals and providing consultative advice.
  • Assist with account opening and maintenance, including completion of consumer loan applications and closings.
  • Support and promote digital banking solutions, offering advice on online and mobile banking features.
  • Process teller transactions, resolve complaints, and maintain and balance cash drawers.
  • Assist with account maintenance, including completion of credit card applications.
  • Handle in-bound and out-bound calls proactively to build relationships, identify opportunities, and make product recommendations.
  • Refer customers to business partners when appropriate.
  • Meet quarterly banker minimum standards and participate in sales, service, and product training meetings.
  • Gain knowledge of and adhere to federal banking regulations including BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, and Notary Public.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, policies, and procedures.
