About The Position

While this position will initially report to one of the specified branches, it may require relocation depending on evolving organizational needs. The Universal Banker will engage with customers, establish rapport, and assist the team in achieving branch goals. This role requires providing excellent customer service, maintaining flexibility to accommodate branch staffing needs, and working independently while managing time effectively. The Banker must follow policies and procedures, maintain accuracy, follow through on daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, and contribute to branch meetings and culture.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of two years bank customer contact or retail sales experience preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage clients effectively.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings, as per business needs.
  • Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.
  • Willing and able to work required overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Promote products and services based on customer's needs, understanding their financial goals and providing consultative advice.
  • Assist with account opening and account maintenance, including completion of consumer loan applications and closings.
  • Support and promote digital banking, including online and app-based solutions, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Process teller transactions, resolve complaints, and handle account discrepancies.
  • Assist with account maintenance, including completion of credit card applications.
  • Handle in-bound and out-bound calls to build relationships, identify opportunities, and make product recommendations.
  • Refer customers to business partners when appropriate to meet all their financial needs.
  • Meet quarterly banker minimum standards and participate in sales, service, and product training meetings.
  • Gain knowledge of and adhere to federal banking regulations such as BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, and Notary Public.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, policies, and procedures.
